D6 Remote Tracking Optics

D6 Remote Tracking Optics – a high-speed eye-tracking system, which uses the "light pupil" method. It has several modifications: with 50-60Hz, 120Hz and 140Hz working frequencies.

D6 Remote Tracking Optics

D6 Remote Tracking Optics is a high-speed eye-tracking device from American ALS company. This device uses so-called "light pupil" principle and provides real-time data processing. Viewing angles are 50 degrees horizontally and 40 degrees vertically. Measurement accuracy of user's sight is less than 0.5 degree. Dimensions of the external module are 11,4cm x 24,7cm x 26cm.

This device calculates horizontal and vertical coordinates of user's sight, as well as the size of the user's pupil both vertically and horizontally. The eye-tracker features an algorithm, which compensates head movements in order to provide more precise calculations. The optimal working distance between the device and the head of the user of from 51 to 100 centimeters.

This device has three different modifications: with the working frequency of 50-60Hz (D6 Remote Tracking Optics), 120Hz (D6 High Speed Remote Optics) and 240Hz (High Speed Stationary Optics).

The main purpose of D6 is to serve as an assistive technology. High accuracy of measurements, wide active zone and the possibility to choose the configuration of this tracker (with different working frequencies: 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz) make it a perfect solution for rehabilitation and medical centers. Two analog inputs, as well as one video output allow connecting D6 Remote Tracking Optics to various equipments. The ability to measure vertical and horizontal diameters of the pupil can be used in various ophthalmological researches. Fast sight direction tracking provides fully or partially paralyzed people with a convenient way to control different symbol matrixes, virtual keyboards and other assistive software.
