ECTkeyboard

ECTkeyboard

ECTkeyboard (EyeComTec Keyboard) is a program with a text matrix that allows individuals with limited motor skills to type text. The program works with eye tracking applications (ECTtracker and analogues), allowing to select characters through blinking, muscle contractions or other actions. ECTkeyboard has a flexible interface configuration, language input and character selecting delays. Saves all settings in files for subsequent work.

  • 10 different data input modes, with 2 separate modes with external eye-tracking device support.
  • A convenient interface with changeable order of symbols, variable button sizes, and other visual parameters.
  • Special working modes for the visually-impaired or users with color perception issues. Users can select a special high-contrast color profile and larger fonts while using the current symbol selection window with an enlarged image. Furthermore, even those who suffer from complete blindness can benefit from using ECTkeyboard. The program supports key sound confirmation feature and speech synthesis function.
  • The possibility to use graphic icons in conjunction with numbers and letters, or instead of. This makes it possible for those who speak a language not supported by the software, or for those who can’t read, to use the program.

ECTtracker

ECTtracker

ECTtracker (EyeComTec Tracker) is an eye-tracking program that works in conjunction with applications to capture video and control programs. Based on the state of the eye (open, closed, one eye opened) it transmits the control key codes to the receiver program. Thus the user can run the program and type the text by opening and closing the eyes. Requires no installation and has flexible configuration options.

  • This program is adjusted to any specific physical state of the user. ECTtracker can be used by fully paralyzed patients, as well as for those with various limited motor activities.
  • 100% ability to learn. The program can be used in virtually any environment, including change of camera position, lighting levels, and user location. ECTtracker works by comparing images with samples, which means high levels of recognition and stable operation is guaranteed. The program can be controlled with any visually distinguishable action, for example change in direction of gaze, blinking, eyebrow and lip movement, and other actions.
  • Wide use of various algorithms. During the analysis of the image the program involves not only RGB color profile, but HSL too, which is closer to human vision. The user can set a priority level for each of the channels, improving overall recognition quality. ECTtracker can automatically calculate priority levels after filling the matrix of samples.
  • Flexible setting procedures and a possibility to create custom recognition structure. Advanced users can change recognition structures and even set the priority level for each point of the structure.

ECTlistener

ECTlistener

ECTistener software, created and developed by EyeComTec (www.eyecomtec.com) is intended to analyze sound signals from any microphone. Depending on the length and volume of the signal, ECTlistener emulates key strokes and sends control codes to the receiving software.

  • Easy to set up. To start operation of the program the user only has to set the sensitivity level of an internal or external microphone.
  • Up to four different actions for one user profile (emulation of four different keystrokes for different durations and sound intensity levels).
  • Volume and the duration can be set for each analyzed sound.

ECTcamera

ECTcamera

ECTcamera (EyeComTec Camera) is a video capture program to work with a webcam or an external device connected to the computer. It allows you to scale the displayed image, save partial or full screen screenshots or videos. Supports "hot keys", saving all the settings in the configuration files, switching quickly between them and can be launched from the command line. Doesn’t require installation.

  • ECTcamera doesn’t contain animated controlling elements or unclear images, which can make its operation more complex. The main interface of the program is as simple as possible.
  • The program supports and identifies various video capturing devices.
  • Has the benefit of fast operation. All main functions can be reached with hot keys. The user can configure the program in less than a minute after its initial start.
  • There is also the possibility to scale images from a low-resolution camera. Scaling can also be used in cases when it is required to zoom into any desired area of the output image.
  • Features command prompt run support. ECTcamera doesn’t use RAM constantly. The program can be used with any third-party application and the launch of the program can be assigned with specific buttons or events of the operating system.

ECTmouse

ECTmouse

ECTmouse (EyeComTec Mouse) is an application which emulates cursor movement and mouse button clicks by using any keyboard. This program is part of the assistive technologies complex and works effectively with a personal computer for those with limited physical abilities.

  • ECTmouse can be used to provide suffers of various uncontrolled muscle activity (tremors or tics) with an alternative way of using the mouse cursor. ECTmouse can also be used by those who can’t use classic manipulators because of pain in the hands (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome).
  • Any of the available mouse actions (cursor movements, click, double-click, pressing, or releasing of any mouse button, or scrolling) can be assigned with a keyboard button.
  • Variable cursor movement speed (the shift step in pixels) can be changed “on the fly” without the need to stop the emulation process.
  • The cursor movement area can be limited if necessary. Various movement types are available for a limited zone.
  • The current program status window means the user can always control the current emulation state, as well as currently pressed mouse buttons.

ECTmorse

ECTmorse

ECTmorse (EyeComTec Morse) is a program designed to help sufferers of paralysis by allowing them to type using Morse code. The program may be used on nearly any PC or laptop because of its low system requirements, and is fully featured and customizable.

  • ECTmorse is versatile. The user can change time intervals, set custom sound frequencies and volume, or change vocabulary location. Morse code vocabulary can also be changed and added with various symbols or commands, making it possible to adjust the program according to personal needs and physical conditions.
  • Has one button control. Use of only one controlling channel makes it possible to use this program with eye-tracking devices and special manipulators for those with limited mobility.
  • Has a fast operation speed. Main elements of the program are assigned with hot keys. The possibility to change the speed of the program with one parameter is also important to improve its overall speed.
